Model 933-C Reliable H2S Analyzer for the Contactor Overhead

A critical measurement of natural gas quality is the concentration of hydrogen sulfide (H2S). Remarkably, the common technique for making this measurement, lead acetate tape, is at least 70 years old. Use of this archaic technology requires that the sample gas be relatively free of moisture or dry. These analyzers must be installed, not on the outlet of the sweetening process they are meant to control, but far downstream—after the dryers.

Amine regeneration costs consume massive amounts of energy, much wasted due to over-stripping. Energy use can be dramatically minimized by accurate and reliable analysis of the residual H2S in lean amine.



Model 4660 Low Concentration H2S Analyzer

The need for the measurement of low level H2S in sales gas is important both for corrosion control and personal safety. Reducing the level excessively to provide safety margin drastically increases the operating costs of removal and recovery operation whereas high levels of H2S will result in costly plant shutdowns.



Model 4670 H2S in Rich Amine Analyzer

Substantial energy savings can be achieved in amine regeneration by controlling amine recirculation to ensure optimum H2S loading. Continuous measurement of the H2S in rich amine permits feedback control to the circulator thus ensuring optimum absorber efficiency.
