Film Quality Scanning Systems FS-5 - digital system
The Film Quality Scanning System FS-5 was designed for the perfect inspection of surfaces. It can be used for the quality control of both transparent materials, such as films, glass etc., and non-transparent/opaque materials, like paper, metals or textiles. The system detects impurities and surface irregularities, e.g. fisheyes and black specks, in 10 adjustable class sizes from a minimum diameter of 10 µm upwards.

The measuring system PSSD – Pellet Shape and Size Distribution System – by OCS inspects the size and shape distribution of granules or pellets. The system works at high speed which contributes to expediting production processes and improving quality control. At a large range of measurement and high throughput, which may be up to 50 kg/h, depending on the size of the pellets, a high repeatability, independent of the shape of the pellets, is guaranteed.

The Melt Analysis and Testing System (MT-5C) with colour camera was developed for the detection of contamination and impurities in liquid substances. This system was primarily conceived for the inspection of polymer melt. However, it can also be used to inspect any other liquid substance ( i.e. water, chemicals etc.) for impurities.

Film Quality Testing Systems FT-5
FT-5 consists of a high-speed matrix camera and a stroboscope lighting unit, which are protected by aluminium housings. They are connected to a high-performance image-processing computer, which is in a 19"-4HE housing. The system can easily be integrated into production processes for production lines with high-speed strips (up to 300m/min) without the resolution being influenced and for materials of several metres in width. Furthermore, the FT-5 is highly suitable for laboratory use, research and development (R&D) in the plastics industry.
